Foundation Studies Program
Foundation Studies provide a pathway for international students who may not initially meet entry requirements to gain entry to undergraduate study at Australian universities and colleges. They provide an excellent preparation for tertiary study, maintaining high academic standards and giving careful attention to the individual needs of international students.
English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS)
In Australia, ELICOS has been developed to allow speakers of English as a second language to either develop their English or to continue on to academic studies. ELICOS program offers English studies at a number of different levels (from beginner to upper intermediate level), from 1 week to 1 year modules. If students do not have a sufficient level of English language proficiency, they will need to study ELICOS (English for Academic Purposes) before starting their proposed course of study.
