Profile |
Founded in 1895, Immanuel College is a dynamic and progressive, coeducational Boarding school with a long established national reputation for quality in academic programs, excellence in sport and achievement in the performing arts. Immanuel provides Year 7 - 12 education on a spacious 18-hectare campus with modern specialist facilities, 9 kilometres from Adelaide CBD. Proximity to the Glenelg Beach precinct and the Adelaide international airport mean the College is ideally situated for international students and their families.
Immanuel caters for 955 day and boarding students, including 70 - 80 international students each year from up to ten European, South American and Asian countries. International student accommodation is provided in the Immanuel Boarding House on campus or with Australian families arranged through the Immanuel community Homestay Program under College management. The on-campus Intensive English Centre providing Preparation for High School courses and Immanuel’s comprehensive student support services ensure the successful transition of international students to the Australian curriculum.
The compulsory co-curricular program including an exceptional range of music and sport choices ensures all international students engage with local peers in social and pastoral care activities.
The College maintains high standards of academic achievement with graduating students able to access tertiary education in Adelaide, other cities around Australia and overseas. Immanuel is proud of its international graduate outcomes and students are consistently successful in gaining entry to and graduating from the tertiary course of their choice. |
