MLC is one of Australia’s leading independent girls’ schools, with a proud 136 year history of educational innovation and academic excellence. We are a welcoming, diverse community offering a broad, holistic education that prepares our students for their lives beyond school.

We are proud to offer one of the broadest curricula offerings in Australia, including over 60 subjects across VCE, VCE VET and the IB (International Baccalaureate). Along with our extensive subject choices, there is a large and varied range of co-curricular activities such as numerous orchestras, ensembles, choirs, clubs and over 30 sports.

Our exceptional programs and staff ensure that our students consistently achieve outstanding academic results as well as a holistic, well-rounded education. In 2017, we had five Year 12 students achieve a perfect ATAR of 99.95, and 10% of students achieved 99+.

MLC’s innovative learning programs are supported by exceptional learning facilities, including state-of-the-art Science labs, future-focused Libraries, television studio, music performance spaces, Physical Education Centre and commercial training restaurant. Our on-campus Boarding House is home to 120 boarders from all over Australia and the world.
